Shrimp Bayou - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can peeled tomatoes
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/4 c. thin strips green pepper
    1/4 c. minced onion
    3 Tbsp. butter or shortening
    1 lb. shrimp, cleaned
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper
    bay leaf
    1 small sprig parsley
    1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 1/2 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Drain tomatoes, measuring liquid.
    Add water to liquid to make 1 1/3 cups.
    Brown celery, green pepper and onion in butter.
    Add shrimp; cook until pink.
    Add liquid, tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper, bay leaf, parsley and Worcestershire sauce.
    Cover; simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.
    Stir in rice.
    Cover; simmer 5 minutes more. Remove bay leaf and parsley.
    Serve hot.
    Very good.
