Crisp Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

1 c. shortening
1 c. light brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. plain flour
3 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. pecans
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs. Beat together. Add vanilla, salt and soda. Beat together with flour. Stir in oatmeal. Drop by spoon (heaping teaspoon) onto nonstick cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
