Icebox Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 cucumbers, sliced long
    2 onions, sliced
    2 c. vinegar
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. turmeric
    3/4 tsp. celery seed
    1/4 c. canning salt
Preparation
    Mix cucumbers, onions and salt; let stand 1 hour.
    Drain well. Pack pickles in jars.
    Mix other ingredients and pour over pickles.
    Seal and refrigerate.
    Will be ready to eat in about 1 week.
