Ingredients

1 (24 oz.) pkg. Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Melt over hot water (not boiling), 1 1/2 cups chocolate morsels; cool to room temperature.
In small bowl, combine the butter, sugar and vanilla extract.
Beat until creamy.
Add melted morsels and eggs; beat until light and fluffy. Gradually blend in flour mixture.
Stir in remaining 2 1/2 cups chocolate morsels and nuts.
Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 3 1/2 dozen (2 1/2-inch) cookies.
Allow to stand 2 to 3 minutes before removing from cookie sheets.
