French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices white bread, crusts removed
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    salt and pepper to taste
    chopped pecans
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 to 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    5 eggs
    2 1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Butter bread with softened butter and set aside.
    Mix eggs, salt and pepper with wire whisk.
    Place 6 slices of bread into margarine-greased 3-quart flat Pyrex baking dish.
    Pour 1/2 egg mixture over evenly.
    Place second layer of buttered bread in dish and pour remaining egg mixture over it.
    Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture, then pecans.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or until bubbly.
    Serve immediately with fruit salad.
