Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. corn meal mix
1 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
1 medium onion, finely chopped

Preparation

Heat 2 inches deep oil to 375\u00b0.
Combine corn meal mix, milk, egg and onion; mix well.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into hot oil, frying only a few at a time until golden brown.
Drain on absorbent paper.
Makes about 2 dozen.
