Chunky Cheese Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. water
2 c. diced, peeled potatoes
1/2 c. diced carrots
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. cubed, cooked ham (may use bacon, pork sausage or tuna)
1/4 c. margarine
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. milk
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar
Preparation

In large saucepan combine first 7 ingredients and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and cover; simmer until vegetables are tender. Add ham.
In another pan melt margarine and stir in flour until smooth.
Gradually add milk and cook.
Stir until thickened.
Stir in cheese until melted then add to soup.
This is a delicious soup.
Serve with cornbread and salad.
