Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 heads dill
    1 piece garlic (optional)
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 c. vinegar
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. coarse salt
    alum (size of grape)
Preparation
    In very hot jars, place first three ingredients.
    Bring to boil vinegar, water and salt.
    Pour boiling hot brine over pickles that are already put in the jar and seal.
