Soft Caraway Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. unsweetened applesauce
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. caraway seed
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Cream butter with sugar.
    Add egg and applesauce.
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
    Add to butter-sugar mixture with caraway seed and vanilla.
    Drop onto greased cookie sheet and bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
    While cookies are still warm, frost with a glaze made with the juice of half a lemon, the grated rind and enough powdered sugar to make it spread easily.
