Orange Buttermilk Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/8 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    pinch of salt
    1/2 orange including peel
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening together.
    Beat egg into mixture. In blender, add orange with peel and buttermilk; whack up into small pieces.
    Add to sugar mixture.
    Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; mix thoroughly.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Do not use muffin papers.
