Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1/2 stick oleo
    1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 can sliced mushrooms
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix beef, salt, pepper and flour.
    Saute onion in oleo; do not brown, then add beef mixture and stir over low heat until meat turns a gray color.
    Add undiluted soup, mushrooms and chestnuts, cooking about 6 minutes over low heat.
    Remove from heat and add sour cream.
    Serve over rice.
    This freezes well, but when reheating, do not allow mixture to come to a boil.
