Brookens Chess Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. softened butter
3 eggs, room temperature and lightly beaten
1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
1 Tbsp. cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. milk
1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
In bowl of electric mixer, cream sugar and butter, until soft and fluffy.
Add eggs, all at once. Continue beating, until light.
Mix in remaining ingredients, except pie shell.
Combine well.
Pour into prepared pie crust. Reduce heat to 300\u00b0.
Bake about 1 hour, or until pie is firm.
