Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 9-inch pie
    8 slices bacon, cooked until crisp
    2 c. thinly sliced onions
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 (8 oz.) sour cream
    1/8 tsp. white pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. minced chives
    1/2 tsp. caraway seed
Preparation
    Prick bottom and sides of pastry shell with a fork.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 3 minutes.
    Remove from oven and gently prick again with a fork.
    Bake 5 minutes more and let cool.
    Crumble bacon and set aside.
    Saute onions in 3 tablespoons bacon drippings until tender.
    Combine bacon, onions and next 4 ingredients in bowl; stir well.
    Spoon mixture into pastry shell and sprinkle with caraway seed.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until set. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
