Pasta And Ceci(Chickpeas) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 onion, chopped
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato puree
    1 can water
    2 cans chickpeas
    1 lb. noodles
    Italian grated cheese
Preparation
    In a saucepan in the oil, brown the onion and celery. Cook until tender.
    Add the tomato puree and water.
    Simmer about 1 hour.
    Add the chickpeas and cook for 1/2 hour more.
    Boil the noodles, drain and add to chickpea sauce.
    Top with the cheese.
