Festive Jello Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
    3/4 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    3/4 c. nuts, chopped
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry gelatin
    2 c. hot water
    1 (1 lb.) can applesauce
    1/8 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Combine cream cheese, celery, mayonnaise and nuts.
    Let stand at room temperature.
    Dissolve gelatin in hot water.
    Add applesauce and cinnamon.
    Pour half of mixture in pan and let congeal.
    Spread a layer of creamed mixture over congealed layer. Top with remaining gelatin mixture.
    Let congeal.
    Cut into squares.
    Serve on lettuce leaves.
    Serves 8.
