Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    6 eggs, separated
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream sugar with Crisco.
    Separate eggs.
    Add the egg yolks to sugar mixture.
    To this, add vanilla.
    Sift together the flour, salt and soda.
    Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
    Add beaten egg whites.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0.
