Oregon Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. apples, grated
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; beat in egg.
Mix flour, soda, salt and spices together then add to creamed mixture.
Stir in vanilla, apples and nuts.
Bake in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Best when served warm with ice cream.
Serves 6 to 8.
