Southern Cream Cookie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 well-beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
5 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. broken walnuts
3 Tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon, mixed together

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, vanilla and sour cream; mix well.
Sift flour with baking powder, salt and soda; add to creamed mixture.
Add nuts.\tDrop from teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
Grease bottom of a glass; dip into sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Press cookie flat.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.\tMakes 6 dozen.
