French Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked 9-inch pie shell, cooled
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 qt. fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
    1 1/2 c. strawberry juice
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Spread softened cream cheese over bottom of pie shell.
    Cover with 1/2 of strawberries, whole.
    Take remaining strawberries and mash and strain until you have 1 1/2 cups of juice (if necessary, add water to make 1 1/2 cups).
    Bring juice to boil and add mixture of sugar and cornstarch; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until boiling.
    Boil 1 minute.
    Cool.
    Pour over berries in pie shell.
    Chill about 2 hours before serving.
    Serve with whipped cream.
