Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 cukes, washed and sliced
    1 small onion
    salt
    2 1/2 c. white vinegar
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. turmeric
    mixed pickling spices
Preparation
    Salt cukes and onion; cover with ice for 3 hours.
    Rinse well. Add to hot mixture.
    Bring almost to boil; pack in jars and seal.
