Stove Top Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 slices bacon
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
    1 (1 lb.) can pork and beans
    1 Tbsp. King syrup
    1 tsp. mustard
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp; drain, reserving 2 tablespoons of drippings.
    Cook onion and green pepper in drippings until tender; drain.
    Add remaining ingredients except bacon and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Before serving, crumble bacon and garnish top of beans.
