Hot Brown - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 Tbsp. flour
1 c. light cream or milk
3/4 c. mild Cheddar cheese, grated
pinch of grated nutmeg
dash of cayenne pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 slices toasted white bread
4 slices cooked white meat of chicken or turkey
8 slices crisp bacon, drained
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
Preparation

Melt butter and stir in flour, cooking 2 or 3 minutes without letting it brown.
Add the cream or milk slowly, cooking until thickened and smooth.
Stir in Cheddar cheese, nutmeg, cayenne, salt and pepper.
Heat over low fire until cheese is melted.
