Vinegar Sweet Pickles(This Recipe Was Made Up By Olive Bowman.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. plain salt
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Place fresh gathered cucumbers into jars cold.
    It is better to quarter them and use enough small cucumbers to make a wedge in center of jars so they won't float.
    Put warm solution over cucumbers and seal tightly with jars that have been placed in cold pack canner.
    Let water boil over tops of jars for 10 minutes in order for them to seal.
    Remove from canner and screw tightly. If you overprocess them, they will shrink and be no good.
    Make several solutions for a great deal of cucumbers.
    One solution will usually do for 3 quarts.
