Flaky Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. Crisco
    1/4 c. butter
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. white vinegar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Lightly grease 5 (9-inch) pie plates.
    Combine flour, shortening, butter, sugar and vinegar.
    Cut with pastry blender until mealy.
    Mix egg with water and salt.
    Toss with fork.
    Chill 15 minutes.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Prick bottom with fork, for baked pie crusts.
    For others, fill with filling and bake according to directions.
