Sunday Morning Fried Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    apples
    brown sugar
    cinnamon
    butter (optional)
Preparation
    Wash, core and quarter apples.
    Leave skin on.
    Slice lengthwise (not too thinly).
    Use a large frying pan so you will only have a few layers.
    Put some butter (optional) or add water (enough to cover the bottom) to the frying pan.
    Let the water boil (medium-high heat).
    Use of water instead of butter reduces fat. Add slices in 1 layer.
    Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon.
    Add second layer.
    Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon.
    When bottom layer browns/caramelizes, flip over and brown top layer.
