Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
    1 can evaporated milk
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Melt caramels over double boiler with 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Set aside.
    Mix cake mix, butter and 3/4 evaporated milk.
    Spread 1/2 of cake mix in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0. After 15 minutes is up, take out of oven and spread with melted caramels.
    Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.
    Spread remaining batter on top.
    Bake an additional 15 minutes.
