Chicken Parmesan - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    2 lb. chicken parts
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 can tomato soup
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. each: garlic powder and oregano
Preparation
    Beat egg and 1 tablespoon water.
    Roll chicken in egg mixture, then in crumbs.
    In skillet, brown chicken in shortening; pour off fat.
    Stir in soup, 1/4 cup water, onion and seasoning.
    Cover and cook over low heat for 45 minutes or until done.
    Stir occasionally.
    Sprinkle with cheese, heat until cheese melts.
