Brown Sugar Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. light brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1 1/2 c. shortening (part butter)
    5 large eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugars and cream again.
    Add eggs.
    Sift dry ingredients and alternate with milk.
    Add nuts and vanilla.
    Bake in greased and floured pan for 1 1/2 hours at 300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0.
