Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 or 9-inch) pie shell, baked
    1 qt. fresh strawberries
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 pkg. strawberry gelatin (3 oz.)
    whipped cream or topping
Preparation
    Slice the quart of berries and pat dry with a paper towel. Spread berries in the baked and cooled shell.
    Combine water, cornstarch and sugar in a pan.
    Cook to boil and boil for 2 minutes until mixture is clear and thick.
    Remove from heat and add gelatin.
    Stir until dissolved.
    While still hot, pour evenly over berries.
    Chill.
    Serve with whipped cream or topping.
