Aunt Mamie Mullen'S Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. dark Karo syrup
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/3 stick margarine or butter, melted
    1 c. pecan halves
    1 uncooked pie shell (bottom only)
Preparation
    Place pecans in bottom of pie shell.
    Beat eggs; add Karo syrup, sugar, salt, vanilla and melted butter.
    Mix until well blended.
    Pour mixture over pecans.
    Bake in hot oven (450\u00b0) for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350\u00b0.
    Continue baking until knife blade inserted comes out clean, about 40 minutes.
