Summer Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium zucchini or yellow squash
    paprika
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. Cheddar cheese
    1 c. sour cream
    1 beaten egg yolk
    1 c. bread crumbs
    1/4 c. chives, chopped
    Parmesan cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Slice squash. Steam or boil for several minutes.
    Heat butter, cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper, egg yolk, paprika and chives until these blend and make a sauce.
    Pour over squash. Sprinkle bread crumbs over top.
    Coat with Parmesan cheese and dot with butter.
    Bake for approximately 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serves 8.
