Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine
5 egg whites
1 1/4 tsp. almond extract
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. ground almonds
Preparation

Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
In a large bowl, cream sugar and margarine; beat in eggs and extract on high for 2 minutes until fluffy.
Stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir in almonds and spread into pan baking 25 to 30 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven until brown; remove and cool.
Cut in desired shapes.
Makes 4 dozen.
