Ingredients

1/4 c. soft margarine or butter
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. apple butter
1 egg
1/2 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. each: baking soda and baking powder and salt
2 Tbsp. milk
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. raisins
Preparation

In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs, oats and apple butter.
In another bowl, combine dry ingredients, then slowly add to cream mixture along with the milk.
Beat until blended.
Add nuts and raisins and chill well.
Drop by teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Dough can be stored in fridge, and cookies can be frozen in bags or tins.
