Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add to shortening mixture. Chill. Roll into walnut sized balls and roll in mixture of 3 tablespoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
