Holiday Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. light salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. walnut pieces
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, combine the raisins, sugar and butter or margarine.
    Pour the boiling water over the mixture. Cover and set aside for 8 to 10 hours or overnight.
