Picante Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 gal. ripe tomatoes
8 large onions
1 lb. carrots
6 bell peppers
12 jalapeno peppers
1 Tbsp. black pepper
5 Tbsp. garlic salt
4 Tbsp. pickling salt
Preparation

Drop tomatoes in boiling water for 30 seconds.
Remove and place in cold water, then peel, core and quarter.
Place small amounts of tomatoes, onions, peppers and carrots in container of processor. Blend until finely chopped.
Repeat until all vegetables are chopped.
Combine vegetables and remaining ingredients in a large pot.
Cook over medium heat for 30 minutes. Pour into hot jars.
Adjust lids and process 15 minutes in a boiling water bath.
Yields about 12 quarts.
