Old English Eggnog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs, separated
    1 c. sugar
    2 qt. light cream
    1/2 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks in mixer bowl until thick.
    Add sugar gradually, beating until light.
    Add cream; beat well.
    Chill, covered, in refrigerator.
    Beat egg whites until foamy.
    Add confectioners sugar gradually, beating well after each addition. Beat until soft peaks form.
    Fold gently into chilled mixture. Chill, covered, for 1 hour.
