Frost Delights - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. brown sugar, remove lumps
    1 stiffly beaten egg white
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Fold brown sugar into beaten egg white.
    Spread onto cookie batter; sprinkle with chopped nuts and bake in a moderate 325\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Cut into squares.
    Makes 24 or 36.
