Frozen Waldorf Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained well (reserve juice)
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. diced apple
    1/2 c. chilled whipped cream
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Mix together drained pineapple, apples, celery and nuts.
    In saucepan, mix eggs, sugar, lemon juice, salt and pineapple juice. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until slightly thickened. Cool.
    In chilled bowl, beat whipppig cream until piles softly. Fold into cooled egg mixture.
    Pour over fruit mixture and toss slightly.
    Turn into an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan and freeze.
    Allow salad to slightly thaw for serving.
