Donnie Duke Clark'S Corn Bread Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white cornmeal
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda (use 1/4 tsp. more if old buttermilk)
    1 heaping Tbsp. flour
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients together and add buttermilk until you have the consistency of pancake batter.
    Add bacon drippings and 1 egg. Mix together and pour into a hot skillet with enough oil to barely cover bottom of skillet.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes, until cornbread is lightly browned and firm.
    Makes enough dressing for 4 people.
