Mary'S Mushroom Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 onions, finely chopped
    2 1/4 oz. butter
    2 garlic cloves, crushed
    1 lb. 2 oz. mushrooms, chopped
    1/4 c. flour
    2 1/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. beef stock
    1/3 c. chopped parsley
    sour cream (for serving)
Preparation
    Melt butter in large pan. Add onion and garlic, stirring over medium heat until onion is soft (about 3 minutes). Mix in mushrooms and stir about 5 minutes. Add flour and stir for another minute. Pour in milk and beef stock, stirring well until combined and bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until mixture has reduced, is thickened and mushrooms are tender. Add parsley. Serve with a dollop of sour cream.
