King Ranch Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. diced onion
    1/2 lb. fresh or canned mushrooms
    1/4 c. butter
    1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
    1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes (tomatoes canned with green chilies)
    2 cans chopped green chilies
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 c. diced, cooked chicken (I use at least 5 chicken breasts)
    1 c. chicken broth
    1 pkg. (8 oz. or so) soft corn tortillas, torn up
    1 lb. or more grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Saute the
    onion
    and
    mushrooms in melted butter.
    Add the soups, Ro-Tel tomatoes, garlic and chili powder.
    Stir and simmer a
    couple
    of
    minutes.
    Meanwhile,
    place\tthe torn up tortillas in\tthe
    chicken
    broth for 10 minutes to absorb the moisture. Place the
    pieces in the bottom of the shallow 13 x 9-inch oblong baking dish.
    Fill the casserole with alternate layers of diced chicken, sauce and cheese.\tBake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or microwave cook at 75% power for about 12 minutes. Serve with\ta
