Virginia'S Onion Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. sweet butter
1 large Vidalia (sweet) onion, peeled and sliced thin
3 c. beef consomme or beef bouillon
Parmesan cheese
Mozzarella cheese, grated
dash of salt and pepper
Preparation

Melt butter in saucepan.
Add the onion and saute for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Add the beef broth, salt and pepper to taste and bring to a boil.
Cook 10 minutes.
Put in a casserole (add broken pieces of French or Italian toasted bread if desired).
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and cook for 35 minutes at 400\u00b0.
Top with grated Mozzarella cheese in mugs while hot.
