Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head broccoli
    10 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
    5 green onions, sliced
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/4 c. sugar
    8 oz. water chestnuts, drained and chopped
Preparation
    Trim off large leaves of broccoli.
    Peel tough stalks and wash thoroughly and drain.
    Cut the flowerets and stems in bite-size pieces.
    Place in large bowl.
    Add bacon, green onions, raisins and water chestnuts.
    Combine remaining ingredients, stirring well.
    Add dressing to broccoli mixture and toss gently.
    Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
    Yield:
    6 servings.
