Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. shortening
    5 egg yolks
    1 tsp. soda
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 (4 oz.) can coconut
    1 c. black walnuts
    1/2 c. black walnuts for frosting
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and margarine.
    Beat until smooth. Add egg yolks, beat well.
    Combine flour and soda and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Add vanilla, coconut and nuts.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Pour in greased sheet pan.
    Bake 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
