Sweet Pickle Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. green tomatoes
    12 onions
    2 bunches celery
    1 head cabbage
    4 red and green peppers
    3 carrots
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    3 pt. vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Grind tomatoes, onions, cabbage and peppers.
    Mix with 1 cup salt.
    Let stand overnight.
    In morning, drain thoroughly.
    Chop carrots and cook until nearly tender.
    Chop celery fine and add all together and cook 20 more minutes.
    Put in hot jars and seal.
