Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. shortening or bacon drippings (heated)
2 c. cornmeal
1 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Bake in a cast-iron frying pan.
Put shortening in pan while oven is heating so the shortening will be hot and ready to add to cornmeal.
