Feather Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs
milk
3 level tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Cream together sugar and shortening.
Break eggs into 1 cup measuring cup and finish filling that cup with whole milk. Add the above
to
creamed\tmixture.
Add flour and flavoring. Blend well. Pour into 9 x 13-inch Pyrex baking dish.
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven until center
springs
back
from
touch.
Cool\tto lukewarm while preparing
frosting.

you may add your own favorite chocolate or lemon frosting.)
