Potato Lovers' Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
    1 c. butter, melted
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. black pepper
    2 c. crushed cornflakes
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Place frozen hash brown potatoes in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Melt 1/2 cup of butter and pour over potatoes.
    Set aside.
    In a 2-quart bowl, mix sour cream, onion, cheese, soup, salt and black pepper.
    Pour over potatoes and mix well.
    Combine 2 cups of crushed cornflakes and the other 1/2 cup melted butter.
    Spread over potato mixture.
    Bake for 1 hour. Yield:
    9 cups.
    Makes 18 servings (1/2 cup each).
