Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light Karo syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt and peanuts in a 2-quart casserole dish and stir well.
    Microwave on High 8 to 9 minutes; mix well.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Blend thoroughly.
    Microwave on High 3 to 4 minutes.
    Stir in soda and mix well.
    Pour onto a greased cookie sheet.
    Cool 1 hour.
    Break into small pieces.
